Card identity
Cards are matched by set, collector number and card name. Printing variants such as Normal, Holofoil and named reverse patterns remain separate. Digital-only Pokémon TCG Pocket cards are excluded from the physical-card market.
Current raw price reference
Raw values currently originate from TCGplayer market data distributed through TCGCSV. USD values are retained and converted to GBP using the latest available European Central Bank reference rate. The displayed value does not yet account for UK postage, individual condition or an individual marketplace sale.
Coverage and confidence
A price is shown only after an exact set-and-number match. Unmatched cards remain visibly unvalued. Confidence can increase as consistent daily snapshots accumulate, but snapshot count does not turn a source-market reference into UK sold-price evidence.
Graded cards and sold data
PSA, CGC, BGS and ACE values must be calculated separately by company and grade. The site will not infer them using multipliers. Future estimates must use legitimately obtained comparable sales, remove obvious mismatches and outliers, and disclose sample size, recency and confidence.
Future deal scores
A live listing will only be labelled as a potential deal after its total cost is compared with a compatible market value. Matching must consider card identity, finish, language, condition, grade, bundles, proxies and sealed products. A low asking price alone is not proof of value.
